On Monday, weak global cues and the US attitude on Muslim countries the domestic market amid tough attitude coincided with the beginning of the negative note. Meanwhile Sensex and Nifty seen in the red note. Sensex trading at 27871, down by 11 points or 0.04 percent. whereas Nifty down 8 points or 0.10 percent at 8633. About 1098 shares have advanced, 1132 shares declining, and 265 shares are unchanged. Pharma, Realty and Auto sectors opened flat on NSE. IT sector is showing weakness. Heavyweight stocks from IT sector, TCS, Infosys, and Wipro are pulling the IT index down. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.19% at 12988.94, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.07% at 13102069.
Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Dr Reddys Labs, Reliance, and Larsen are the top gainers. while Wipro, Tata Motors, Hero Motocorp, Tata Steel, and Bajaj Auto are the major losers in the Sensex.
