Sensex, Nifty volatile; RIL up over 5%, Experts Advice

The benchmark indices on Monday settled the day higher as a sharp rally in information technology, telecom and metal stocks boosted the sentiment on Dalal Street even as global markets remained cautious. Nifty ended with gained 57 points or 0.65 percent at 8,879.20, Nifty rising over five-month closing high on Monday aided largely by TCS, Infosys, and HDFC Bank. Benchmark indices settled the day flat even ahead of December factory output later today on hopes of reviving an economy. The factory output grew by 5.7% in November even after the note ban announced by PM Narendra Modi. The sentiment was also affected as Asian shares rallied to an 18-month peak on Friday, as investors cheered upbeat Chinese trade data. Nifty 50 continued to around 8,800 levels, gaining for the third consecutive week, led by TCS, Grasim, Tech Mahindra and Infosys.

Sensex, Nifty close higher amid consolidation; Stock Tips Tomorrow (10/02/2017)

Benchmark indices settle the day flat as RBI kept its policy rate on hold at 6.25% for the second meeting in a row, opting to wait for more clarity on the trend for inflation. The Central Bank also changed its policy stance to 'Neutral' from 'Accommodative' and FY17 GVA target was lowered to 6.9% from earlier target of 7.1%. Sensex fell as much as 160 points as soon as the policy was announced while Nifty breached its crucial 8,750 levels. Earlier this week, both indexes had hit a four-month high on rate-cut hopes. The RBI decision disappointed investors, sending India's benchmark 10-year bond yields up 13 bps from levels before the decision.

Stock Market ended flat; RBI kept its policy rate on hold at 6.25%

The Equity Market ended on a flat note on Wednesday, after pricing in RBI policy and ahead of corporate earnings. Sensex closed at 28289.92, down by 45.24 points or 0.16 percent. while Nifty was up mere 0.75 points or 0.01 percent. BSE Midcap index was up 0.51 percent at 13474.98. whereas BSE Smallcap index was up 0.22 percent at 13557.60. Sensex fell as much as 160 points as soon as the policy was announced while Nifty breached its crucial 8,750 levels. Earlier this week, both indexes had hit a four- month high on rate-cut hopes. Stock Market Under Pressure; Nifty below 8800, Share Trading Advice

The Equity Market was opened on green note in the early morning. After one hour it is changed into the negative note.
