Nifty sliped around 8400 | BSE midcap down over a percent

The Equity market has ended in the bearish note for a fifth consecutive session. Nifty slipped below its crucial support level at 8,450 on Friday and was trading near its support at 8,400, a level last seen in July. Sensex was down 156.13 points or 0.6 percent at 27274.15. Nifty declined 51.20 points or 0.6 percent at 8433.75  weighed by healthcare, infra, and HDFC Group stocks. About 698 shares have advanced, 2205 shares declined, and 119 shares are unchanged. The broader markets continued to underperform benchmarks with the BSE Midcap index declined 1.34 percent at 12839.53. BSE Smallcap index was down 2.20 percent at 12877.48. 
ITC, M&M, HUL, Wipro, and ONGC were the major gainers. while Sun Pharma, Dr Reddys Labs, Lupin, Coal India, and Hero Motocorp were the top losers in the Sensex.
