After a sharp run in the previous session, Equity Market closed in a red note on Wednesday. Sensex fell to holds its crucial support level of 28,000 to close at 27,984 with profit booking in ITC, ICICI Bank, and HDFC. Sensex opened at 28,112 against the previous close of 28,050. Finally, Sensex ended with a loss of 66.51 points to 27984.37. Nifty slipped 18.80 points and closed at 8,659 level. The broader market outperforms benchmarks with the BSE midcap indices gained 0.06 percent and smallcap index 0.55 percent on positive breadth.
